Black holes or Black bodies?
How do we know that a black hole is a "hole"?
It seems to me that an object, say a bunch of huge plants that all come together, could be so massive that light would be unable to escape it and therefore would just be a giant dark mass with a huge gravity field, exhibiting the same characteristics as a black hole.
If it is indeed a hole, then what is the point at which something becomes to massive that is rips a hole in the fabric of space?
