Security: Check Login Pages Carefully

IMPORTANT: When logging into Friendster, make sure the URL for the login page is one of the following two:

To find the URL, look at the upper part of your browser in the address bar. If you see a URL that is NOT one of the two listed here, do NOT enter you login information.

Click "log out" which is at the top right of the page. Then click "log in" > check to make sure the URL is one that we've listed here and then login to your account.

If you see any suspicious login pages or are asked to login to your account (even though you are already logged in) report them to our Help Department.

Thanks!

How do I delete a photo?

To delete an existing photo: click the "Profile" link at the top of any Friendster page > click edit photos > click on the photo you want to delete > look beneath the photo and click delete.

FYI: Friendster just made a major upgrade to its photo product. To facilitate the increase limit of photos from 50 to 100, it was necessary to provide users with a more efficient method of uploading, organizing and viewing photos. Friendster now allows users to edit photos directly from the Photo Detail page, also known as "Slideshow" page. Users can set the photo as their primary picture, edit its caption/title, share it with friends or family or delete it. All past functionality is continued to be supported with the new design, only now its easier to upload Public and Private photos as well as view those photos of your friends.

How do I customize my profile? (wallpaper, background, profile customization)

There are several different ways to customize your Friendster profile:

First, you can add HTML to the "About Me" and "Who I Want To Meet" sections of your profile (go to your profile tab) and click "Edit Profile" to make your changes). Keep in mind that both the "About Me" and "Who I Want To Meet" sections are limited to 1000 characters, and that includes HTML tags, so make sure to leave yourself enough room to close all your tags (because un-closed tags can mess up the code of your page).

Second, you can add multimedia files to your profile, including movies, music, and photos. To do so, click your profile tab>go to "Edit Profile" and select the "Customize" tab. Go to the "Add music and video to your profile" field and drop in the appropriate (EMBED, OBJECT, or IMG SRC). Whatever you enter here will show up in the "Now Playing" section of your profile.

Finally, you can also edit the CSS code of your profile page. To do so, click your profile tab > go to "Edit Profile" and select the "Customize" tab. Enter your customized CSS code into the "Advanced users" field. Keep in mind that altering the CSS will default your profile skin to "No Skin/Custom CSS," so whatever modifications you make will apply to that color scheme. If you later choose a different skin from the "Beginners: Select a Friendster skin" section IT WILL CLEAR YOUR CSS CODE FROM THE ADVANCED USERS WINDOW to make way for the new skin.

Not happy with your changes? "Revert" (at the bottom of the page) will remove your chaanges and return your profile to the Friendster default look.

NOTE: if you don't see your customized profile after making your changes, go to your "Settings" page (top right of any page) and make sure your "SAFE MODE" setting is set to "NO". If you still don't see your custom profile and your safe mode setting is set to 'no' make sure your skin is set to: " No Skin/Custom CSS,.. If it is not, click the "No Skin/Custom CSS" skin button and then click Save. You should now see your customized profile.

Who can view my full profile?

This is determined by your Account Settings, under a setting called "Who can view my full profile?". The settings are as follows:

My Friends (also known as 1st degree friends) - These are the people you have directly added as friends to your Friendster profile. Choosing this setting means that only these people will see your full profile. Other members will only see a mini profile (very limited information). Non members that find you in a search will also see limited information.

Two degrees (friends of friends) - These are the friends of people connected to you as 1st degree friends (but not directly connected to you). Choosing this setting means that both your friends and your friend's friends will be able to see your full profile. Other members will only see a mini profile (very limited information). Non members that find you in a search will also see limited information.

Anyone - This is just what it says. Anyone online that comes across your profile will see your entire profile. This means that people that are not registered with Friendster or logged-in to Friendster will be able to view your full profile. In order to utilize Friendster communication features such as messaging, registration or log-in is required.
